Launching Teleport:
The 3D Print Button of the Web

Teleport is 3D Hubs’ public API, allowing anyone to integrate a 3D print button in their website

NEW YORK, MAY 5TH 2015 – Today we announce Teleport, our public API. It enables creators of 3D content to integrate a 3D print button for their models, connecting their users to the 3D Hubs network of over 16,000 3D printers. The API is open for anyone to use.

Through Teleport, 3D printable content is directly linked to the 3D Hubs network of local 3D printers. Our API simplifies the process of 3D printing as it removes the need of downloading or uploading 3D files completely.

We are launching Teleport because we want to unlock the world’s 3D content, by making it instantly printable. We enable any design to be made anywhere in the world via our platform with the embedding of one simple print button.

With the launch of Teleport we are determined to disrupt manufacturing as we know it and materialize the promise of 3D Printing to the world. Our API is just the start of distributed manufacturing, where there’s no need to think about minimum order quantities, keeping supply, shipping and production capacity anymore. Digital designs can be made anywhere in the world, on demand, for a competitive price.

Companies like AutodeskThingiverseSketchfab and Instructables have already integrated the 3D Hubs API. While this is just the start, these partners already offer close to 1 million digital designs ready for 3D printing, kickstarting the application of Teleport.
